Compensation

  • Competitive hourly rates determined by the applicants experience and certification ($42 – $65 / Hour)

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field
  • BCBA® credential- Must be good standing with the BACB®
  • LBA License- Must be in good standing with the Washington State Department of Health
  • 1 or more years of field work in ABA
  • 1 or more years of working with individuals on who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and/or other related disorders
  • Knowledge in Pivotal Response Training® (PRT®) and Naturalistic Environmental Training (NET)
  • Willing to travel between locations listed above
  • Reliable vehicle and a valid WA state drivers license
  • Pass a background check
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize and multitask
  • Strong communication skills and ability to take/apply feedback in a professional manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of BCBA® field experience
  • 1 or more years of supervising experience
  • 2 or more years of working with individuals that have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and/or other related disabilities

Job Duties / Responsibilities

  • Behavior Assessment: Conduct functional behavior assessments to identify the underlying causes of problematic behaviors and developing individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on the assessment results.
  • Behavior Intervention: Implement behavior intervention strategies and techniques to address challenging behaviors and promote positive behaviors. This involves teaching new skills and strategies to replace undesirable behaviors.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Be consistent in collecting and analyzing data on behavior to track progress, evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborating with Clients and Families: Work closely with clients and their families to understand their needs, preferences, and goals, and involving them in the intervention process.
  • Training and Supervision: Provide training and supervision to other professionals and caregivers involved in implementing behavior intervention and skill acquisition plans.
  • Consultation: Collaborate with other professionals and team members such as (but not limited to): teachers, doctors, other therapeutic professionals, and social workers to coordinate care and create comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Behavior Management: Assist in the development and implementation of behavior management systems in various settings, such as schools, clinics, homes, and community settings.
  • Ethics and Professionalism: Adhere to the ethical guidelines set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board® (BACB®) and maintaining professionalism in all interactions and activities.
  • Research and Evaluation: Stay up-to-date with the latest research in behavior analysis and incorporating evidence-based practices into interventions.
  • Advocacy: Advocate for the needs and rights of individuals with behavioral challenges and disabilities, promoting acceptance and inclusion.
  • Progress Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports for clients, families, and other relevant stakeholders to communicate the effectiveness of interventions and provide recommendations for ongoing treatment.
  • Mandated Reporting: Report suspected cases of child abuse, neglect, and/or other forms of maltreatment to the supervisor, employer, and other appropriate authorities. This responsibility is not only a legal obligation, but also critical in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals, such as children and those with disabilities.
